In February 2019, the winner of 1,000 dollars of financial aid will be announced, and the funds will be sent to the college or university in which that student is enrolled. It is hoped that by providing this 1,000 dollars worth of scholarship money, the family can assist a deserving student in fulfilling his or her educational goals. All college and university students are encouraged to apply regardless of field of study. The Kulpa family is looking to reward a student who truly feels that further education culminated in a degree with be a game changer for them and will affect the course of their life. 

The Kulpa Family scholarship will be given to a student in his or her senior year of high school or who are already attending college. The student must have been accepted into a college program or be currently enrolled as a college student but not in his or her final year. The application consists of a few simple questions including name, address, telephone number, email, etc. The college or university the student is associated with will also need to be provided, and the scholarship committee will contact the institution to confirm acceptance or enrollment.

The most important part of the application process for determining the scholarship winner is the completion of a 500-word essay. This essay must answer the question, “How will obtaining a degree in your chosen field change your life?” Applicants should give this question serious thought and should attempt to answer it as thoroughly as possible within the provided word length guidelines. A committee will evaluate each essay, and this evaluation will go a long way toward determining the scholarship winner. The committee will be looking for solidly written essays which answer the given question in a detailed and meaningful way. Students should take there time and complete their essay to the very best of their ability. Remember that this essay is the main criteria on which the scholarship winner will be chosen. 

It is important to remember that there is no fee at any time for applying for this scholarship. The application is simple and straightforward, and the winner will be chosen on the basis of the quality of his or her essay and not based on the economic situation, chosen field of study, school being attended, or any other factor related to his or her background. All students accepted into or currently enrolled in a college or university are encouraged to apply. 

All applications for the scholarship need to be completed no later than January 31, 2019. They can be easily submitted via the online form. The winner of the Kulpa Family $1,000 scholarship funds will be determined after the January 31st application deadline. He or she will be chosen by a scholarship committee who will work diligently to choose the best candidate from among all of the submitted applications. The winner will then be notified sometime in February 2019. The 1,000 dollars will be sent directly to the college or university indicated by the student on his or her application.
